Pierre-Yves Lambert
Pierre-Yves Lambert, former student of the École Normale Supérieure, is a French teacher and linguist. He is a researcher at the CNRS and a lecturer at the École Pratique des Hautes Études in historical and philological sciences.
He specializes in the history and etymology of Celtic languages as well as the study of Celtic literature. In particular, he worked on Old Irish, Old breton and Old Welsh and on Gaulish inscriptions. He collaborated to the Recueil des Inscriptions Gauloises.
He is the author of an important book on the Gaulish language.
