Phyllopteryx is a genus of sea dragons in the family Syngnathidae. The Weedy seadragon was thought to be the only member of this genus until the discovery of Phyllopteryx dewysea in 2015.[1][2]

Two species are recognized in this genus:
- Phyllopteryx dewysea Stiller, Wilson, & Rouse, 2015 (Ruby seadragon)[3]
- Phyllopteryx taeniolatus Lacepède, 1804 (Weedy seadragon)
