Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trail Blazers

On September 23, 2010, Paul G. Allen announced the appointment of Peter McLoughlin as president of the Seattle Seahawks and First & Goal, Inc. McLoughlin is responsible for all financial and business operations, sales and marketing, sponsorship, and administration of the Seattle Seahawks. As president of First & Goal, he oversees management of CenturyLink Field and CenturyLink Event Center, and the Theater. He serves as the Seahawks’ representative on all NFL matters and at NFL meetings. He sits on NFL committees for Business Ventures, Stadium Security and Fan Behavior and also serves on the Digital Media Committee.

In the fall of 2012, McLoughlin added the responsibility of the Portland Trail Blazers and Moda Center when Paul G. Allen named him CEO of Vulcan Sports and Entertainment. In this expanded role, McLoughlin has oversight of business operations for the Trail Blazers and Moda Center, while serving as an Alternate Governor for the Trail Blazers and representing the franchise at NBA owners meetings. McLoughlin also sits on the Team Media Advisory Committee, which works with the NBA Commissioner on upcoming media discussions.

In McLoughlin’s fourth season with Seattle, the Seahawks won their first NFL championship in franchise history, defeating the Denver Broncos, 43-8, in Super Bowl XLVIII. Last season, Seattle reached the Super Bowl for the second-consecutive season as the Seahawks faced the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX. The club finished the 2014 season with 105-consecutive sellouts.

Since joining the Seahawks, McLoughlin and his team have negotiated a multi-year stadium naming-rights partnership with CenturyLink, as well as long-term partnerships with Anheuser-Busch, Boeing, Delta Air Lines, Microsoft, Russell Investments, Sharebuilder, Starbucks, Verizon and Homestreet Bank.

He was also instrumental in the Seahawks transition to Nike, as the exclusive supplier of NFL gear, including the most significant uniform overhaul in a decade. The Seahawks new uniform incorporates the culture and colors of the Pacific Northwest and recognizes the Seahawks fans, known as the 12s. The uniforms feature 12 feathers on each pant leg and around the collar, and a “12” sewn on the inside back collar of the jersey.
