Peter Kenneth Wood is a full-time magician[1] based in Baltimore County, Maryland. He specializes in banquet entertainment,[2] and has been a headline entertainer[3] for Frito-Lay, AOL, Lockheed Martin, Toys R Us, and the Baltimore Ravens.[4] He regularly appears at the International Spy Museum and Magooby's Joke House Comedy Club.[5]

Peter founded his company, Shazam Magic, in 1994,[6] and is sometimes assisted by his younger brother, Matt Wood.[7]

In 2003, his work with Immersion Active (an interactive design and marketing company in Frederick, Maryland) gained the attention of local media,[8][9] and won him a Silver Addy Award[10] from the Greater Frederick American Advertising Federation.[11]

Peter and his brother were profiled in a 2009 Frederick News-Post article,[12] where Peter discusses his interest in magic as well as special effects. "'When I would play as a kid, it would usually involve setting up special effects in the backyard with a sprinkler and strobe light, or putting on a show in the basement with sound effects and lighting.'"[12] Peter's childhood interest in special effects has led to his involvement behind the scenes of several films.[13]

In 2010, Peter worked with the education department of the International Spy Museum to create an exclusive spy-themed magic show, "The Magic of Spying: Tradecraft Trickery."[14] It premiered in April, 2011,[15] and continues several times annually.

Peter Wood partnered with Technica.ly in 2014 for Baltimore Innovation Week.[16]

Peter resides in Towson, Maryland with his wife Christie.
