Pekka Malinen

Pekka Kullervo Malinen (11 June 1921, Viipuri – 21 September 2004) was a Finnish diplomat and politician. He was a member of the People's Party of Finland. He served as Deputy Minister of Social Affairs (2 July 1957 – 2 September 1959), Deputy Minister of Finance (2 September 1957 – 29 November 1957) and Minister of Defence (2 September 1957 – 29 November 1957) in Vieno Johannes Sukselainen's first cabinet.

In 1969–1974 served as Finnish Ambassador to Egypt.[1]

During the Second World War Malinen served Nazi Germany in the Finnish Volunteer Battalion of the Waffen-SS as an SS-Unterscharführer.[2]
