Pearl Harbor Trilogy – 1941: Red Sun Rising is a trilogy of air-combat action games where players fly World War 2 era aircraft such as the P-40 Warhawk, F4F Wildcat, A6M2 Zero. The first title in the trilogy is called 1941: Red Sun Rising and includes missions from 1941 and 1942 such as Guadalcanal, Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Midway. It was released on Nintendo's WiiWare download service in North America on July 5, 2010[2] and in Europe on the 16th of July 2010 [3]

Reception

The game has received generally favorable reviews including 8/10 from Nintendo Life [4] and 8.5/10 from Nintendo World Report [5] whereas Eurogamer gave it 6/10 [6]

Development

The game was originally developed for Microsoft Windows in 2007 where it was released as Attack on Pearl Harbor. Development on the Wii started in May 2009, when the idea of addressing an upgraded remake to make use of the Wii's motion controllers was raised.
