Parbona Ami Chartey Tokey (Bengali: পারব না আমি ছাড়তে তোকে; English: I can not leave you) is a 2015 Bengali romantic drama film directed by Raj Chakraborty and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films and Surinder Films. This film is a remake of Telugu film named Uyyala Jampala released in 2013. The film illustrates love story and family drama – with Bonny Sengupta and newcomer Koushani Mukherjee playing the lead characters. The film's music is by Indradeep Dasgupta.[2][3]

Plot

The whole film is narrated Shibu (Bonny Sengupta) who is running back to confess his love to Apu (Koushani Mukherjee). Bonny and Koushani quarrel since their childhood which starts from the time of the latter's birth itself. Koushani is the daughter of Kharaj Mukherjee, the friend of Bonny's father. Kharaj Mukherjee, his family and his parents live in a mansion while Bonny and his widowed mother (Tulika Bose) live in a small house exactly beside the mansion in a modernized yet naturally scenic village.[4]

The film's music is composed by Indraadip Dasgupta, and the lyrics have been penned by Prosen. The first single, named "O Lolona" was released on YouTube on 25 July 2015, with an overwhelming response. The title track named "Parbona Ami Chartey Tokey" is sung by Arijit Singh.
