Paratalanta hyalinalis, common name translucent pearl, is a species of moth of the family Crambidae.
Description
The wingspan of Paratalanta hyalinalis can reach 28–35 millimetres (1.1–1.4 in).[1][2] The translucent wings are whitish or yellowish, crossed by thin pale brown lines. The moth flies from June to July depending on the location.[1][3] They are active after dark. The larvae are oligophagous and feed on Nettle, Verbascum thapsus and Centaurea jacea.[1]
Distribution
This species can be found in most of Europe,[4] but has also been recorded from North Africa, including Libya.
