Distribution and status

It is found in Angola, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and possibly Burundi.

Habitat

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, and rivers.

Habits

Frequents rocky streams, rivers, river-pools. Typically perches on mid-stream rocks
