Orphnaecus is a selenocosmine tarantula, within the Phlogiellini tribe.[1] It has 3 species, 2 of which are from the Philippines and 1 of which is from New Guinea.[2]

Characteristics

Orphnaecus has lanceolate stridulatory strikers (i.e. spines on the chelicerae) and about 50 of them. The male embolus has a single strong retrolateral keel.[1]
