The Omni San Diego Hotel is a four-diamond high-rise luxury hotel and condominium tower in San Diego, California. It is owned and operated by Omni Hotels & Resorts.

Hotel

Built in 2004 at a cost of $124 million, the 32-story, 511-room Omni San Diego is located across the street from the San Diego Convention Center and connected via sky bridge to Petco Park.[1] The tower was developed by JMI Realty and designed by architectural firm Hornberger and Worstell, other key contributors to building this harbor-area beacon of high-rise hospitality include general contractor Swinerton and Architectural Glass and Aluminum as the glazing contractor.[2] The hotel has over 20,000 square feet (1,900 m2) of meeting space in addition to a 9,750-square-foot (906 m2) ballroom.[3] There is also a sixth-floor outdoor terrace with a heated pool and jacuzzi, a McCormick & Schmick's seafood restaurant, and a full-service business center.

The Metropolitan

Occupying the top 11 floors of the Omni hotel tower (floors 22-32), the Metropolitan is a collection of 37 multimillion-dollar penthouse condominiums featuring panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Coronado Island, and the city. With amenities including 24-hour valet service, a personal concierge, housekeeping, dry cleaning and laundry, room service (including in-home dining and catering), 24-hour security and front desk personnel, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and private elevator access. On the 22nd floor is a private pool and recreation area, deck, spa, and outdoor fireplace.[4]

Awards and accolades

The Omni San Diego has been awarded the Best in the Top 25 Cities by TripAdvisor and named one of top 40 hotels in the country by Association Meetings. It was also the recipient of the Connoisseur's Choice Award by Resorts & Great Hotels.[5]
