For Basil Dean she appeared in R.U.R in 1923,[3] and in 1925 she gave what The Times described as a formidable performance as Sadie Thompson in Maugham's Rain at the Garrick Theatre.[4] She toured in South Africa in 1930 and 1934 in a variety of parts.
