Oh Sehun (born April 12, 1994), is a South Korean rapper, dancer and actor. He is a member of the South Korean boy group EXO and its sub-group EXO-K.[1]

Early life

Sehun was born in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, South Korea, on April 12, 1994.[2][3] He graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul in February 2013. He has a brother three years older than him.[2]

Career

Sehun was first scouted by an S.M. Entertainment casting agent at 12 years old while he was out having lunch with friends. While at first running away from the agent for 30 minutes and being chased down the streets, he was eventually cast into S.M. Entertainment in 2008. He went through four auditions in two years.[4] On January 10, 2012, Sehun was officially introduced as the fifth member of EXO.[5]

In February 2016, Sehun received a Weibo Star Award as voted by users of the Chinese social networking site Sina Weibo at the 5th Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards.[6] On March 14, 2016, Sehun was confirmed to be starring as the male lead in the upcoming Korean-Chinese movie Catman.[7] The film is expected to be released during the first half of 2017.

In July 2016, Sehun was announced to be starring as the male lead in the upcoming Korean-Chinese web drama Dear Archimedes.[8]
