Octomylodon is an extinct genus of ground sloth of the family Mylodontidae, living during the Miocene-Pleistocene. Fossil remains of Octomulodon have been found uniquely in Argentina, South America from 23 mya—11,000 years ago, existing for approximately 22.89 million years.[1]

Taxonomy

Octomylodon was assigned to Mylodontidae by Carroll (1988).[2]
