Novovoronezh (Russian: Нововоро́неж) is a town in Voronezh Oblast, Russia, located on the left bank of the Don River 55 kilometers (34 mi) south of Voronezh. Population: 32,635(2010 Census);[3] 36,961(2002 Census);[4] 35,666(1989 Census).[7]

Administrative and municipal status

Within the framework of administrative divisions, it is incorporated as Novovoronezh Urban Okrug—an administrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts.[1] As a municipal division, this administrative unit also has urban okrug status.[2]
