Norfolk Collegiate is a coeducational independent day school in Norfolk, Virginia for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Norfolk Collegiate School is a member of the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools, which includes ten private schools from the Hampton Roads Region of Virginia.

For more than 65 years, Norfolk Collegiate School has remained one of the leading educational institutions in Hampton Roads. Norfolk Collegiate has a rich tradition of cultivating the character of its students, recognizing that the spirit and intellectual growth of young people is the primary objective of a quality education.

Carolton Oaks School was founded in 1948 as a kindergarten and preschool in the Wards Corner suburb of Norfolk. The school continued to grow and in 1963 graduated its first class of seniors. A decade later, in 1973, the institution came to be known as Norfolk Collegiate School, which more accurately reflected the school's college preparatory mission.
