The Ningxia Museum (Chinese: 宁夏博物馆; pinyin: Níngxià Bówùguǎn) is a museum in Jinfeng District, Yinchuan, Ningxia, China.[1][2]

History

The original museum building was prepared in 1959 and built in 1973. However, it was closed in 2008. The construction of the museum started in November 2006. The museum was then opened on 28 August 2008.[3][4]

Architecture

The museum building is a three-story building with a total floor area of 30,258 m2. It consists of eight exhibition halls.[5] The building was constructed resembling the Hui (Chinese: ) character.[6]

The museum displays over more than 10,000 cultural relics.d

Opening time

The museum opens from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. free of charge.
