Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu (逃げるは恥だが役に立つ) is an ongoing Japanese romance shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Tsunami Umino. It's published by Kodansha, with serialization on Kiss magazine since November 9, 2012[1] and eight volumes compiling the chapters released so far.[2]

The series later got a live-action adaptation airing on TBS starting from October 2016, with Gen Hoshino and Yui Aragaki as the leads.

Volume 5 reached the 47th place on the weekly Oricon manga charts and, as of April 19, 2015, had sold 20,288 copies.[11]

The series won the award for Best Shōjo Manga at the 39th Kodansha Manga Awards.[12]
