Nico Vascellari

Nico Vascellari was born in 1976 in Vittorio Veneto (TV), Italy. He currently lives and works in New York City, USA and Vittorio Veneto, Italy. Nico Vascellari has been associated with the punk art scene. His work is a mix between performance art and sound exploration. He is represented by Monitor Gallery in Italy.[1] He participated in Biennale Venice and Mantifesta 7.[2] He recorded the soundtrack to Cosimo Alema's film debut War Games: At the End of the Day in 2010.
In 2012 he and Nicolo Fortuni founded Niños du Brasil, an electronic/batucada/noise band; to date, they have released two studio albums: Muito N.D.B. in 2012 and Novos Mistérios in 2014.[3]

His exhibition Bus de la Lum opens at the Whitworth in February 2016.
