Neptune Teezeh is an Afropop musician from Kenya. Born in Oyugis town, the artist debuted[1] into the industry by doing dancehall music before venturing into the Afropop genre. He is signed to Grosspool Music management and has worked with a couple of producers including Richie G of ATL Entertainment.

Life and music career

Coming from a Christian family, a number of Jusper Otieno's (Neptune's birth name) family members sang in the Church choir. Although its already a cliché', he started there and got the foundation. However, in High school Teezeh got involved in Music and Drama festivals that's when he slowly gravitated towards African music. In 2009, as a member of their school music club, he went for several music competitions. Their school repeatedly got to the National level during his time and that meant much exposure to African-themed music. He recorded his first songs in 2013 and these included "Gi Dem" and "Control". In 2014, Neptune Teezeh attended an event hosted by Grosspool in Kenyatta University and that is when he met Arthur Onyango, who introduced him to the Grosspool team. He recorded "Mayatima" audio and video mid 2014 and "Nikiwa Nawe" audio and video later. It is however "Nikiwa Nawe" that gave him much exposure and recognition on radio. Neptune is a perfectionist and rumours are going around that there are songs that are yet to be released because he feels they are not quality enough.

Music style

Teezeh's music style is that of female-centric, afro-fused, dance-inspiring pop and one thing that is conspicuous with this student at Kenyatta University is energy in live performances.
