Neil Jones (dancer)

Neil Jones is a British professional dancer.

Dance career

Jones began dancing at the age of three.[1] He has danced ballet and has trained in tap, modern, ballroom and Latin styles.[2]

He has represented Finland, Holland and the UK during the course of his competitive career. He holds many dance championship titles, including UK, British, Dutch, European and World Latin Champion.[1]

With his partner Katya Jones he was introduced at Blackpool in 2008. The couple became undefeated four-time British National Champions, and the three-time winners of the World Amateur Latin Championships. Katya Jones is also a professional dancer who also appears on Strictly Come Dancing.[2]

In 2016 he appears in series 14 of the BBC celebrity dancing show Strictly Come Dancing.[2] He is not partnered with a celebrity, but participates in group dances and is a standby dancer for any female celebrity whose partner is unable to dance. Female dancer Chloe Hewitt performs the same role for the male celebrities.[3]

Personal life

Jones was born in British Army Camp in Munster, Germany[2] Neil and Katya Jones married in 2013.[4]
