Naresh Chandra Uttam

Naresh Uttam is a leader of the Samajwadi Party.[1] and member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. Currently he is Vice President[2] of Uttar Pradesh State for SP, second only to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in the organisational setup in party state unit.[3] He is three times Member of UP Legislative Houses.[4] He belongs to Dominant Kurmi OBCs[5] caste of UP and considered to be close[6] to Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav.[7]

He is also one of the founding MLAs of Samajwadi party. Being a loyalist and stalwart leader[8] of OBCs, he has been entrusted with the screening of candidates for the 2017 state elections.[9]
