"Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri/Kamisama, Hotokesama" (Japanese: 長く短い祭/神様、仏様, "No verão, as noites / God, nor Buddha") is the 15th single of Japanese musician Ringo Sheena. It was released on July 31, 2015, by Universal Music Japan.

Background and development

"Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri" was used in advertisements for the 2015 Summer Campaign of Coca-Cola Japan. "Kamisama, Hotokesama" was used as an TV commercial jingle of au smartphone "isai vivid" manufactured by LG Electronics and Sheena was starring in the commercial.[1]

The picture of the Nebuta Matsuri was used for the album artwork to match the recorded music image.[2]

Sheena sings two duets with her two close male musicians, Ukigumo (ex. Tokyo Jihen) and Shutoku Mukai.[3]

Music video

Both "Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri" and "Kamisama, Hotokesama" are directed by Yuichi Kodama.[4] The video of "Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri" is inspired by the song theme "the summer of woman’s life". In the video, the heroine felt impatient was portrayed while the scene in which Sheena and Ukigumo sing a duet is occasionally inserted. On the other hand, the session musicians who played the song at the recording session appear on the video "Kamisama, Hotokesama". In the video, they perform specters of "Hyakki Yagyō".[5]

Both music videos were released as full version on July 31 in YouTube channel and so on.[5][6]
