Doctors For the NHS

The NHS Consultants Association was formed in 1976 by medical consultants with a strong commitment to the NHS and its founding principles. It changed its name to Doctors For the NHS in 2014.[1]

Clive Peedell and Dr Jacky Davis are co-chairs.

In 2005 the Association initiated the campaign Keep Our NHS Public.[2]

It was active in the campaign against the Health and Social Care Act 2012.[3] Its founder and co-chair Clive Peedall and Jacky Davis support and actively campaign for physician - assisted suicide to be made available on the NHS.[4]
