Nélida Sifuentes Cueto

Nélida Sifuentes Cueto is a politician and a union leader of the indigenous peasant movement in Bolivia. Starting in 2013, she served as vice president of the Senate in the Legislative Assembly Plurinacional of Bolivia, representing the department of Chuquisaca.[1]

Biography

Nélida Sifuentes was born in Bolivia in Chuquisaca on July 18 1981. Sifuentes was an ACLO radio reporter in Chuquisaca, becoming president of reporters at the departmental level. She became the provincial executive of the Tomina province in the department of Chuquisaca.

In 2009 she was elected Senator of Bolivia for the Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS - IPSP) party, representing the department of Chuquisaca in the Plurinational Legislative Assembly of Bolivia.[2]
