My Name Is Mangamma (Tamil: மை நேம் இஸ் மங்கம்மா ) is an Tamil Comedy Romance soap opera that aired on Zee Tamil. The show premiered on 9 April 2012 and aired Monday through Friday 8:00PM IST. It is a remake of the Zee Telugu serial My Name is Mangatayaru. The show starring by Karuththamma Movie Fame Maheswari played the female lead and Director by S.N. Sakthivel.[1] The show last aired on 11 April 2013 and ended with 260 episodes.
Plot
It was a charming story of 28 years old girl, who did not like her name "Mangamma". She was named by her parents but she did not acknowledge it and called herself "Maggie". She thought she was not getting married because of her name, but in reality she was impolite, tom boy and had a loud mouth. Mangamma had a job of chef in a 3-star hotel. She supported her mother, her younger married sister and a younger unmarried sister as well. Her parents had difficulty in finding a groom for Mangamma due to her nature. Mixture of humor, seriousness and turns made this drama a big hit.
