myDriver is an international chauffeur company that operates in over 15 countries and over 140 cities across Europe.[1] myDriver is a subsidiary company from Sixt[2] and is part of the Sixt Ventures group which includes other business ventures such as DriveNow, Autohaus24, Preis24. The company is 100% owned and funded by Sixt.[3]

History

myDriver was founded in 2013 in Berlin, Germany. It began offering an alternative taxi service which incorporates some of the luxury aspects of a chauffeur service while remaining price competitive with regular taxis.[4][5][6][7] The creation of the myDriver brand was mainly pushed by the growing demand for limousine services and the expansion of the Sixt transportation services. myDriver was founded by Carl Schuster, Andreas Goschler and Oliver Mickler[8][9] as a new venture of Sixt. myDriver launched its service at the beginning of 2013 in large German cities: Munich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover, Cologne, Leipzig, Bremen, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Dresden.

2014

In 2014 myDriver continued expansion throughout Germany and started testing international expansion with test cities in Paris, and Vienna.[10][11][12]

2015

In the end of 2015 myDriver launched internationally in France, Austria and the Netherlands[13][14] and became bookable Germany-wide.[15][16]

2016

myDriver has continued international expansion in Europe in 2016 launching in these countries Spain, United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, Monaco, Romania, Czech Republic and Turkey.[17][18][19][20][21][22]

Services

myDriver focuses on both corporate and private customers, providing services by four different car segments: First class (e.g. Mercedes-Benz S, BMW 7s, Jaguar XJ), Business class (e.g. Mercedes-Benz Es, BMW 5s, Jaguar XF), Economy class (e.g. Volkswagen Passat,), VAN (e.g. Mercedes-Benz Viano, Vito).[23][24] Customers book trip via the platform, hotline or application for Apple, Android and Blackberry smartphones at least 60 minutes before the service starts.[25][26]

myDriver cooperates with 1500 external partners.[27] In Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Düsseldorf myDriver has taxi licences and own fleet consist of 60 cars.

myDriver was created as an alternative to conventional taxis[28] with the purpose to provide high quality limousine service with competitive price on the market. myDriver’s goal is to follow the current trend in limousine service industry and meet the needs of the future..

myDriver is headquartered in Berlin with over 100 employees.[29]
