Museum of Modern Art Department of Film
The Museum of Modern Art Department of Film and Video, based in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, United States, and founded in 1935, contains works of international cinema, focusing on the art and history of the film medium. The collection comprises more than 14,000 films and 4 million film stills. The collection is housed in the Celeste Bartos Film Preservation Center, opened in 1996.[1]

Three of the recent acquisitions of the newly formed Museum of Modern Art Film Library, 485 Madison Avenue, were exhibited privately there yesterday afternoon. Chief among them was the fifty-foot movie of the May Irwin-John C. Rice "kiss," a bit of pictor.
