Mukhrovani (Georgian: მუხროვანი) is a village in Kakheti, Georgia, within which is a military base involved in the 2009 Georgian troop mutiny and an earlier mutiny by 60 soldiers on December 20, 2004.[1] It lies 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of the capital Tbilisi,[2] and has held up to members the Special Units of the Ministry of State Security for Georgia, as well as an airborne brigade of 1,000 troops and a tank unit of the Georgian army.[3]
