Moitessieriidae is a family of small freshwater snails, aquatic gastropod molluscs in the superfamily Truncatelloidea.[2]

According to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi (2005) the family Moitessieriidae has no subfamilies.

There are known 55 freshwater species of Moitessieriidae in the Palearctic region.[1]
