Mitchell College is a private liberal arts college on the Thames River, in New London, Connecticut, in the United States.[2] In 2015 it had 778 students and faculty of 68; admission rate was 70%.[2]

The college offers associate and bachelor's degrees in fourteen subjects including business administration, criminal justice, early childhood education and sports administration.[2]

Athletics

The college sports teams are known as the Mariners. Until the NCAA ruling on the Native American mascot controversy, they were called the Pequots.

The college competes in NCAA Division III in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, sailing, and soccer for men, and basketball, cross country, sailing, soccer, softball, and volleyball for women.[2]

Academics

Mitchell College reports having 23 full-time faculty, 73 part-time faculty, and 57% of classes having between 10 and 19 students.[5] The college offers the following majors:[6]
