Mingzhou or Ming Prefecture was a zhou (prefecture) in imperial China, centering on modern Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. It existed (intermittently) from 738 to 1194, when the Song dynasty renamed it Qingyuan Prefecture.
Geography
The administrative region of Ming Prefecture in the Tang dynasty was in eastern coastal Zhejiang. It probably includes parts of modern:
