Mike Purcell (born April 20, 1991) is an American football nose tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Wyoming, and was an undrafted free agent signed by the 49ers.
Professional career
San Francisco 49ers
Going into 2013, Purcell was an undrafted free agent, the San Francisco 49ers signed him on May 7, 2013. He was signed to the team's practice squad on September 2, 2013. On January 22, 2014, Purcell signed a Reserve/future contract with San Francisco, before being signed to the team's practice squad on August 31, 2014. On December 19. 2014, Purcell was promoted to the active roster after Ray McDonald's release on December 17, 2014.
