Mikael Salomon (born 24 February 1955) is a Danish film director, cinematographer and producer.[1] After a long cinematography career in Danish cinema, he transitioned to the Hollywood film industry in the late 1980s and has remained highly prolific there.[2][3][4] He has been Oscar nominated twice.[5]

Salomon's film credits include cinematography for The Abyss and Backdraft, as well as co-directing the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, in 2001.
