Michael K. Smith is the former secretary of Vermont Agency of Administration for the state of Vermont, who retired in August 2008.[2]

Since leaving government service, he has been employed in the position of President of Vermont Operations for Fairpoint Communications, Vermont's largest land-line telephone company.
