Mercy is an upcoming American-British drama romance film directed by Tali Shalom-Ezer, from a screenplay by Joe Barton. It stars Kate Mara, Ellen Page, Brian Geraghty, Amy Seimetz and Elias Koteas.

Plot

Lucy, the daughter of a man who is on death row, falls in love with Mercy, a woman on the opposing side of her family’s political cause. As a result, Lucy’s value for truth is tested as her world begins to unravel.

Production

In August 2016, Ellen Page, Kate Mara, Pablo Schreiber, Elias Koteas and Amy Seimetz were cast in the film, with Tali Shalom-Ezer directing from a screenplay by Joe Barton.[1] while Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa will serve as producers under their Killer Films banner, alongside Mara and Page, while Robert Halmi Jr, Jim Reeve, and Karri O'Reilly will serve as executive producers through their Great Point Media banner.[2] In September 2016, Brian Geraghty joined the cast of the film, replacing Schreiber.[3]

Filming

Principal photography began on September 19, 2016.[4] Principal photography concluded on October 21, 2016.[5]
