Mera Saathi (English: My Companion) is a 1985 Indian Bollywood drama film, produced by K. Kesava Rao on Sree Brahmarambika Films banner and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. Starring Jeetendra, Rajiv Kapoor, Jaya Prada and Mandakini in pivotal roles and music composed by Bappi Lahiri. The film is a remake of Telugu Movie Dharmaatmudu (1983), starring Krishnam Raju, Jayasudha in lead roles.

Plot

Ranga (Jeetendra) a rowdy lives alone, one day an unknown girl named Ragini (Jayaprada) entries into his house accidentally changes his way of living. Ranga comes to know she ran way house to protect herself from Banssy Das (Shakthi Kapoor) who want marry her for her property, Ranga protects her from him and marries her and lives a happy life. One day Ragini comes to know he is in crime line, she asks him to change his lifestyle; Ranga changes his entire lifestyle and joins as a worker in a factory, he & Ragini lives very happily they blessed with a daughter. After some time when the factory was in heavy losses Ranga takes the same factory in the lease, develops it and becomes a millionaire. After few years their daughter Shanthi (Mandakini) whom Ranga loves from than anyone else loves a guy Shyam (Rajeev Kapoor) who is in trap of Banssy Das, Ranga comes know this he doesn’t agree for their marriage but Shanthi marries Shyam without his permission, Shyam takes way the entire property of Ranga and sends him & Ragini away from their house, then Banssy Das cheats Shyam and keeps him in his custody, Ranga comes to know this he protects Shyam from Banssy Das, Shyam also realizes his mistakes and then they all live happily.
