Melanie Churella

Melanie Ester Churella is a former Miss Michigan and local Detroit TV personality.

Biography

Churella was named Miss Michigan in 1987 after the original Miss Michigan, Kaye Lani Rae Rafko, became Miss America.^[1]

She went on to anchor live news updates on Detroit's WXON-TV (now WMYD) until 1995, when the station became a WB affiliate and the news updates were removed from the programming schedule.
