Matt Mitchell is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head football coach at Grand Valley State University.

Coaching career

From 2004 to 2009, Mitchell served as an assistant coach under Chuck Martin. Following the 2009 season, Mitchell was named head coach at GVSU, by his father in law and athletic director Tim Selgo, when Martin left to join former GVSU head coach Brian Kelly at Notre Dame.
