Matt Everard is a professional Rugby Union player, currently playing for Nottingham RFC where he is captain[1] and plays in the back row.[2] In addition to his playing career, Matt is also the head coach of the Nottingham Academy team[3] and is the head coach of Long Eaton RFC where he is assisted by Nottingham team mates Murray McConnell and Tom Holmes.[4]

Previous to joining Nottingham, Everard had spells with Leicester Tigers and Wasps[5] where he was signed after impressing at England under 20 level.

Everard attended Loughborough Grammar School, where he still retains strong links, organising the annual "Robbie's Rugby Festival", hosted at the school in aid of The Robbie Anderson Cancer Trust and The Jake McCarthy Foundation[6]
