Martynas Andriukaitis (March 28, 1981 – September 4, 2014) was a Lithuanian basketball player. Born in Kaunas, he became champion of Lithuania and Latvia and vice-champion of North European Basketball League in 2001. Andriukaitis won Lithuanian bronze three times. MVP of the Stanković Continental Champions’ Cup as a player of the National Team of Lithuania 2005.

Participant of All Stars Game in Lithuania 2002, 2003, Ukraine 2008, FIBA 2008.

Death

On September 4, 2014, late in the evening he shot his wife Renata in his home near Riga and shot himself, but was only severely wounded. Their 14-year-old son witnessed what happened and called the police and paramedics. Andriukaitis was taken to hospital, but died there later that night.[1]
