Martin Lambert

Martin Lambert (born in Southampton on 24 September 1965) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward.

After a distinguished youth career, he was signed by Alan Mullery for Brighton and Hove Albion in the English First division (Premiership). A tour of the continent followed before returning to England in 1989.

Lambert was once the first name mentioned at the start of the 1984-1985 season by Dickie Davies on World of Sport as the first casualty of the new season after being carried off on a stretcher, having been knocked unconscious. He cites Martin O'Neil as his favourite manager.
