Mark Gill

Mark Gill is a film maker from Stretford in Manchester.

Gill graduated from University of Central Lancashire in 2004,[1] and soon after he met his collaborator Baldwin Li. Gill has won several awards including a Royal Television Society Award. In 2014 Gill and fellow producer Baldwin Li were nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for their film The Voorman Problem.[2] as well as receiving a BAFTA nomination in 2013 [3]

On May 8, 2014, it was announced that Gill has written and will direct a biopic based on the early life of Morrissey.[4]

On May 8, 2016 it was reported that filming had commenced on Steven the film based on the early life of Morrissey [5]
