Marc MacKenzie was a fictional character in UK soap opera Family Affairs, played first by Michael Wildman from 2003 to 2004 and then by Graham Bryan in 2005 up until the final episode.

About Marc

Marc first appeared in Charnham in September 2003 with his father Doug and half-brother Justin MacKenzie to help renovate the recently destroyed sandwich shop whose owner Robert Davenport, and his friend Fern Farmer had been killed when a car driven by Jake Walker smashed into the building. Marc had previously worked for his mother Janey's boyfriend's building firm until he had been sacked for fighting with a colleague.

Marc began flirting with Yasmin Matthews, who he had attended school with. The attraction was mutual but there was only one obstacle in the way; Yasmin's engagement to Gabriel Drummond. In the wake of Gabriel fleeing town after pursuing him for his involvement in a car scam, Marc agreed to pose has Yasmin's fiancee for a magazine competition Yasmin had entered. Geri Evans, Yasmin's friend also took a liking to Marc and they began dating while perpetrating that Marc and Yasmin were an engaged couple.

The not-so-real wedding became real, when Marc discovered he really loved Yasmin and proposed to her for real. They then married on Christmas Day. Geri expressed her heartbreak by punching Yasmin.

Despite being married to Yasmin, Marc's feelings for Geri never went away and in May 2004, He was forced to choose between the two girls (As part of an Interactive voting storyline where the viewers decided the outcome). Marc chose Yasmin, but she threw him out. Following Doug's wedding to Cat Webb, and the birth of his niece Suzie in July, Marc left Charnham to live in Ireland.

In August 2005, Cat became suspicious of where Doug had been going and had suspected him of cheating on her with his secretary. Doug had in, fact been meeting with Marc. Marc had recently split with his girlfriend who had a miscarriage. Cat was still frosty towards Marc, who had hurt her niece Geri.

Yasmin wasn't particularly happy to see Marc either, having divorced him the year previous. However, Marc was going nowhere as he had purchased the corner cafe from Les Boulter who had recently left Charnham.

Marc later began seeing waitress Katie Williams and also rekindled his relationship with Yasmin. Neither fling worked out once Lara, one of Marc's ex-girlfriends had left their six-year-old daughter, Poppy with him. Marc's family were shocked that he had kept his daughter a secret.

Marc struggled to look after Poppy over the course of Lara's absence and frequently left her in the care of Justin or Cat and Doug. Lara eventually came back for Poppy and left Marc's life once again.

Towards the final week of the series, Marc didn't really feature in any major storylines but made an appearance in the final episode.
