Marc Grégoire is the current Commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard. He was appointed on June 28, 2010.

Grégoire graduated from the civil engineering programme at École Polytechnique de Montréal, in 1978, and completed the courses curriculum of the master’s degree program in transportation at the Université de Montréal. After receiving his pilot's licence in 1980, he joined Transport Canada, in 1983, where he worked in the Quebec region. He worked in the public service, for the next twenty years, then became the Assistant Deputy Minister of Safety and Security at Transport Canada. [2]
