Manor Green School is a day special school located in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. It caters for over 200 students, aged 2–19, with a wide range of special educational needs (SEN).
The school is highly successful and oversubscribed. It is in the top 25% of special schools in the UK with regards to students' progress and achievement. Consistently good and outstanding teaching means that students' progress is exceptionally high across all ability and age groups. Ofsted last inspected the school in March 2013 and it was judged to be ‘Good’ in all aspects of its operation with many ‘Outstanding’ features.
Manor Green School offers specialist outreach services to local mainstream schools who do not have the same level of SEN expertise. The school is keen that its facilities are used by the local community, particularly those with learning difficulties, and so has increased the amount of ‘out of hours’ use for weekend and holiday clubs.
History
The school was previously known as Holyport Manor School, but was relaunched as Manor Green School in the summer of 2010, moving to a new purpose-built campus under the leadership of Mrs Ania Hildrey. The current Deputy Headteacher, Mrs. Joolz Scarlett, takes up the role of new Headteacher from September 2016.

Curriculum and learning
The curriculum is continuously reviewed so the school can appropriately respond to the changing needs of its expanding student population. It is underpinned by a unique Philosophy of Education - The ACE Model; combining the focus on the Academic progress (A); Care and therapeutic learning support (C), as well as promotion of life skills and Enrichment (E) essential for a fulfilling adulthood.
The approach to learning is individualised, multi-disciplinary, collaborative and holistic. It is tailored to increase the individual’s rate of progress and attainment, and encourage the development of confident, sensitive and independent young people.
The primary education department includes the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stages 1 and 2; and secondary education incorporates Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Classes within these are organised by need and ability.

Staff
All staff at Manor Green School are integral to working towards the school’s vision. They share a collective aim to develop the whole student, ensuring that the foundations are laid for them to be well equipped for the future.
Staff have an innovative and creative approach to their work; enthusiasm, positivity and an unfaltering commitment to students’ success; and an open-minded, proactive attitude towards working effectively in a team.
The school rewards staff with ongoing support and development and access to a range of opportunities. Many have joined as Specialist Support Assistants, moving on to Higher Level Teaching Assistant roles with some choosing to enter the teacher training and leadership pathways.
