Manitowoc County Airport (IATA: MTW, ICAO: KMTW, FAA LID: MTW) is a county owned public use airport located two nautical miles (4 km) northwest of the central business district of Manitowoc, a city in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States.[1] It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility.[2]

Facilities and aircraft

Manitowoc County Airport covers an area of 414 acres (168 ha) at an elevation of 651 feet (198 m) above mean sea level. It has two asphalt paved runways: 17/35 is 5,001 by 100 feet (1,524 x 30 m) and 7/25 is 3,341 by 100 feet (1,018 x 30 m).[1]

For the 12-month period ending June 16, 2015, the airport had 33,100 aircraft operations, an average of 91 per day: 97% general aviation, 3% air taxi and <1% military. In November 2016, there were 62 aircraft based at this airport: 52 single-engine and 10 multi-engine. [1]

The Manitowoc (MTW) VOR/DME is located on field.

Lakeshore Aviation was the fixed-base operator (FBO) until 11/30/2013. Manitowoc County took over operations 12/1/2013.
