Makfax is an independent news agency in the Republic of Macedonia. It was founded in 1992 and has been broadcasting news continuously for more than 15 years, since May 1993. Makfax is the first private news agency in the South East European (SEE) region. Makfax's users include all relevant media in the country and the region, along with the worldwide information services. Foreign embassies and missions in Macedonia are the users of the specialized service packages and news.

Being constantly in touch with the latest developments, MAKFAX launched the first news portal in Macedonia in three languages, Macedonian, Albanian and English, seven days a week. MAKFAX is a member of the South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO), an affiliate of the International Press Institute (IPI), the Association of Private News Agencies (APNA) and the Association of Macedonian printed media. It also enjoys support of the Paris-based World Association of Newspapers.

MAKFAX is an independent news agency, which delivers information on the latest and most current events. On its portal, MAKFAX offers two types of news, accessibility-wise. The free-access news are available to all visitors of the site and to all subscribers of the electronic (e-mail) packages.
