Maio is a concelho (municipality) of Cape Verde. It covers the whole island of Maio. Its capital is the town Vila do Maio. The municipality consists of one freguesia (civil parish), Nossa Senhora da Luz, which also covers the whole island. The freguesia is subdivided into the following settlements:

Politics

As of 2012, the Movement for Democracy was the ruling party, the PAICV took power and is the ruling party of the municipality and the assembly with the 10 seats.
