Madison Shay "Madi" Esteves (born September 7, 1994) is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Chandler, Arizona, who was named Miss Arizona's Outstanding Teen 2012 and crowned Miss Arizona 2015. She competed for the Miss America 2016 title in September 2015.

Pageant career

Early pageants

In October 2011, Esteves won the Miss Maricopa County's Outstanding Teen 2012 title. She competed in the Miss Arizona's Outstanding Teen 2012 pageant in January 2012 with the platform "Best Buddies" and a character dance performance in the talent portion of the competition.[2] Esteves won the state title and advanced to the Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2013 pageant in August 2012. She was not a finalist for the national title.[3]

Miss Arizona 2015

On March 28, 2015, Esteves was crowned Miss Queen Creek 2015.[4] She entered the Miss Arizona pageant at the Mesa Arts Center in late June 2015 as one of 24 qualifiers for the state title.[5] Esteves's competition talent was jazz dance.[4] Her platform is "Don't 'Diss' Abilities".[5][6]

Esteves won the competition on Saturday, June 27, 2015, when she received her crown from outgoing Miss Arizona titleholder Alexa Rogers.[5][7] She earned thousands of dollars in scholarship money and other prizes from the state pageant.[7] As Miss Arizona, her activities include public appearances across the state of Arizona.[5]

Vying for Miss America 2016

Esteves was Arizona's representative at the Miss America 2016 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September 2015.[4][6] In the televised finale on September 13, 2015, she placed outside the Top 15 semi-finalists and was eliminated from competition. She was awarded a $3,000 scholarship prize as her state's representative.[8][9]

Early life and education

Esteves grew up in Chandler, Arizona, and is a 2013 graduate of Hamilton High School.[2][10] Her father is Doug Esteves, her mother is Nicole Harvick and her little sister Keely Esteves. Esteves is a student at Chandler–Gilbert Community College.
